The Product
It's a deflationary OHM with a fixed supply and an ecosystem built around the treasury in the form of DeFi strategies that earn from various inefficiencies on Robinhood
That profit flows into the treasury, which is the NAV for the token, so holders can always burn their tokens for ETH with a 2% fee
The initial treasury of 56 ETH ($140k) was formed purely from trading the token, which charges a small fee in ETH
In v2, users will be able to borrow against UFG in ETH at 1% APR with an 80% liquidity margin. On top of that, the first strategies are expected soon:
- Enhanced USDG
- Hedged and Levered tokens
- Weekend Liquidity (I think the protocol will make money from predictable premium on tokenized stocks that appears over the weekend and disappears once markets open on Tuesday)
Team + Contributors
United Founders Group has at least one public dev, @Cibolan2000, who is a team member. But as I understand it, DeFiDave core idea is to bring top DeFi founders and devs into the ecosystem as contributors/advisors, which resonates with the product itself, so the best minds in DeFi could end up working together on strategies inside this year's main chain

I grouped them together because Sam and DeFi Dave (prev Frax team) were among UFG's first followers
Frax publicly supported the v2 announcement, and sfrxETH is set to be integrated. For those who don't know, Frax is one of the OG DeFi protocols, with a peak mcap of $1b
DeFi Dave is doing incredible work shilling UFG
As mentioned, he previously worked at Frax, and now, besides UFG, working at CapApp which currently has $326M TVL and a $400M mcap.
Since launch (Aug 31) he's already participated in 3 podcasts: @blocmates, @FullyVested_Pod and @2lambro - talking about UFG
As I understand it, one of the team's strategies may be to reveal contributors gradually, so below I've highlighted 3 DeFi Chads who have openly supported UFG:

My thoughts:
The product is still at its earliest stage, but soon this could turn into an ecosystem of dozens of products, each generating profit that in turn backs the price of robinhood:0xefab538cf3c29237a47c6afb145d50ddf204a0a3
But I think the most important thing here is the team/contributors
We have a partnership with Frax and their support; top names in the DeFi industry are speaking publicly about the project in a positive light, which also leads me to think we'll see new partnerships with large DeFi protocols and their supporting, bringing additional attention and value to UFG
The final straw that could push the token to new ATHs might be an appearance on @MCGlive
The team managed to convey why their product is valuable and unique to the top DeFi chads, now they need to do the same for the degens, who for some reason still don't get this project

Open project pageUFG is a Pons-launched token on Robinhood Chain whose creator trading fees are claimed to fund an ETH treasury. Holders can burn UFG for a pro-rata share of that ETH, with a 2% exit fee left for remaining holders. The site says this is the first of more treasuries, including later tokenized-stock and memecoin strategies; only the burn-and-redeem loop is live.
